[01:00:23:10 - 01:00:26:01]
follow me standing by andakin' I've almost died. Fuck this guy transfer from TV to metal
[01:00:31:14 - 01:00:33:08]
Strange eons.
[01:00:46:11 - 01:00:49:03]
Strange Ian's radio podcast and video.
[01:00:59:22 - 01:01:16:09]
Yeah. He is not feeling good. Yeah. He seems to have come down with some kind of January plague, which is going around. Uh, my kids' daycare also has it. Just children, a sea of children, all runny noses and coughs. So Vanessa.
[01:01:22:21 - 01:01:38:02]
Yes.
[01:01:41:06 - 01:01:58:07]
Yeah. It's all a little bit jumbled. We've, uh, had a house of cards. We had a little structure and then I, oop, we're putting them all back up. So it'll be fine no matter what you guys will love it.
[01:02:00:22 - 01:02:02:04]
Movie stuff, movie things.
[01:02:12:09 - 01:02:35:14]
I think so. Probably maybe. It's recently, recent ish. Yeah. It's been hard. It's been hard to, you know, purchase, uh, cool stuff this year for me. So some of mine might be a little bit out of date. Eric is really on top of it. He's got some great stuff. So his will probably be definitely very recent, but yeah, we're going to show you, do a little show and tell.
[01:02:35:14 - 01:02:40:13]
(Music)
[01:02:48:07 - 01:02:59:07]
Something has come along that changes our movies. It changes the way you see them, hear them, feel them. It changes the experience.
[01:03:00:15 - 01:03:03:00]
It opens our eyes to something new.
[01:03:04:02 - 01:03:20:02]
We invite you to dig deeper, to find things that you've never experienced before. This is the difference between watching our movies and living them. (Music)
[01:03:36:03 - 01:03:42:06]
Experience our movies on Blu-ray. This is how our movies are meant to be lived.
[01:03:43:21 - 01:03:47:14]
(Music)
[01:03:47:14 - 01:03:54:13]
Like up here.
[01:04:02:17 - 01:04:02:23]
Excellent.
[01:04:08:10 - 01:04:59:05]
Um, yeah, I can, I can start with the first one, the main one for me for this year, which was, um, Arrow put out the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy box set. Uh, has all three of the turtles films. Um, inside, it also has this cool book lit. It's really well wedged in here, but, um, I was just excited because I hadn't realized that I only had them on VHS. So it was nice to have, I know I have all of them on VHS and I have the FYE, um, I think they're Burger King, like videos with like four Ninja Turtles episodes on them. I've got like three or four of those, one of which is right there. Uh, Curse of the Killer Pizza. Um, I say that I point.
[01:04:59:05 - 01:05:04:08]
Curse of the Killer Pizza. And
[01:05:04:08 - 01:05:23:19]
And then I've got the Nickelodeon action figure version of that. So anyway, so I, I have VHS copies of some of this stuff. Um, but yeah, it came with a really cool like poster, which is pretty rad. Um, which is nice.
[01:05:27:14 - 01:05:27:21]
Yeah.
[01:05:31:15 - 01:05:33:04]
Yeah, this one's got creases.
[01:05:35:17 - 01:06:07:00]
Especially when I'm like, I'm, I'm, there's no way I'm going to frame these. I have plenty of Ninja Turtles posters that are from like Mondo and stuff that I've got framed. And I came with a Roy's, uh, Greenwich Village, Dine-In pickup. It's like booklet about like just various turtle stuff, turtle factoids. So that was my big one for the year. Um, pretty psyched. I think Arrow does a good job. And I, no, that's going to be a pretty common.
[01:06:09:11 - 01:06:20:06]
Yes, Shout Factory, Sense and World, because that's how I got all of my, um, you can't see them, but all of my, uh, John Carpenter movie posters that I've had framed are from Shout Factory.
[01:06:24:13 - 01:06:50:15]
I have not, I have not, I did go to the theater this year. There was a rerelease of, um, the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. And so I saw that at a fathom event kind of thing. And that was pretty fun. It was really cool to see it. Like it was just, it was a lot funnier than I remembered it being. And I don't know, it was just, it was, it had, it has such a different texture when you get to see it that big and with a whole audience of millennials. So.
[01:06:54:14 - 01:07:43:22]
Yeah. I might, I have a sense that what will happen is I will probably watch them all three in one sitting with probably with my partner and like, yeah, but they are the last time I did this, watched all three, which I'm sure was just an Amazon rental. The second one was tough and the last one was unbearably God awful. And as a kid, I loved them. I had the t-shirt for the third one. I still have, I have a poster of it that's print. Like I, you know, in theory, love it, but they're not good. So it is going to be painful, but it'll nice to see the treatment and how they, what they did to up it. So yes. What about you? What do you have in your?
[01:07:48:02 - 01:07:50:16]
Oh, sure. No, that's okay. Please.
[01:08:00:00 - 01:08:17:19]
Oh, yeah.
[01:08:30:00 - 01:08:42:04]
Wow.
[01:08:43:17 - 01:08:46:13]
Wow. Wow.
[01:09:28:07 - 01:09:29:06]
Oh, very good.
[01:09:40:21 - 01:10:01:21]
Hmm. And you're like trying to get the discount. Like we, yeah, like doing origami to get your, your stuff out of there. So with your, when you get a physical media, I assume you're the kind of person who opens it and watches it and yeah.
[01:10:06:03 - 01:10:06:09]
Yeah.
[01:10:16:01 - 01:10:23:16]
Yeah. Oh yeah, that's, it's good to make sure that they function. Yeah.
[01:10:37:07 - 01:10:42:07]
Sure. And you have limited space. I assume you can't have them all out.
[01:10:44:20 - 01:13:03:00]
Yeah. I am, I am, I might, for anyone watching this, I might occasionally turn off and back on my camera because like I'm doing right now, because my camera is ancient and it sometimes chooses a different focal length than is accurate. And I don't know how to fix that. And yeah, other than turning off and back on. So don't worry. I'm still here. If my camera goes on and off, it just means I've become blurry and I need to fix that. Well, so during Halloween time, I, my husband and I, we weren't able to do 31 31 October, but we were able to do a little bit of passing back and forth where he chooses movie. I don't get a say. And then the next day I choose a movie, he gets no say. And that is the only way we will ever choose a movie because we are otherwise like, what would you like? What are you in the mood for? So instead we have this like hard and fast rule, like you choose, I cannot argue. So I finally had got and want to watch phase four. Uh, and I got a really gorgeous vinegar syndrome edition of this. Um, and I did actually watch it with him. I watched the extras on it, uh, which mostly the deleted scenes. Cause I was like, what the fuck did I just watch? And, um, yeah, the deleted scenes, I think mostly make more questions and mostly make you go, you have an artistic style, sir. That is absolutely out of control. Um, super cool though. Like has a great booklet with it. Feels really, really good to the touch. Um, I don't know. I think that I think the film, it was, it was really fun to check it out. I don't think I liked it nearly as much as I thought it would, or as much as Kelly had enjoyed it. But I liked what they were doing. I thought they had cool, weird psychedelic ideas. Um, fucking I hate ants, man. They are the ban of my existence. Currently in this house, I live on an ant Hill basically made it,
[01:13:03:00 - 01:13:07:16]
Ooh.
[01:13:11:01 - 01:13:14:00]
It looks cool.
[01:13:21:13 - 01:13:21:21]
Wow.
[01:13:29:11 - 01:14:01:03]
Oh. Oh, God. Ooh.
[01:14:03:17 - 01:14:23:23]
Oh, cool.
[01:14:41:12 - 01:14:50:13]
Yeah. I'm kidding. I know. I was like, I think the only other one I can think of comparatively would be like swallow, which you have seen and I have not. It's like.
[01:14:53:03 - 01:14:59:07]
Oh. Oh, yeah. Yeah.
[01:15:01:19 - 01:15:26:23]
Um, well, I picked up the Severn Vinegar Syndrome. Sorry. That's not Severn. That was Vinegar Syndrome's edition of Congo, which I did not need to watch because I watched it like last year. So it's pretty fresh for me still. But I couldn't resist the opportunity to have this incredible film.
[01:15:29:05 - 01:15:47:10]
This just it's it's really it's a magnetized shut and it's very hard to open. So don't if you get it, don't break it. Where you are the endangered species booklets. I have not read it. It looks like there's a nice novel in here.
[01:15:49:20 - 01:16:03:16]
And yeah, just a cool, of course, like the little slipcover thing and then the crummy, normal looking one underneath us just hiding away hiding in there. So yeah.
[01:16:11:03 - 01:17:06:06]
Oh. It is not a good movie. It is truly, truly terrible. Bruce Campbell, he's kind of in it. They really want you to think he's in it. He's. Yeah, it's not as I from what I remember, he's. It's kind of a little bit more brief than you would expect him to be. But maybe I'm maybe I'm crazy and misremembering it. Yeah, it's a it's a truly god awful film. But I have in my heart, like a weird secret, happy place for like monkey and ape movies. I don't know why. Not all of them, not like Dustin goes, whatever, not like the skateboarding monkey, but like just weird. We probably didn't have an animal handler, but we did get a chimp. And here they are movies.
[01:17:07:16 - 01:17:18:13]
So yeah, so I was just like, this is such a stupid, weird film and it has such a good treatment. I just had to I had to pick it up.
[01:17:21:22 - 01:17:24:06]
The keep man, the keep it's so.
[01:17:25:12 - 01:17:52:03]
Bunny. Yeah, yeah. The keep of all of all the choices, but you can't not have a nice copy of the key. I need to pick that up. Let's just. Oh. Wow, that's so cool. I did not get this.
[01:18:10:08 - 01:18:14:20]
Mm hmm.
[01:18:19:16 - 01:18:27:00]
Yeah.
[01:18:37:05 - 01:18:56:09]
Yeah.
[01:19:02:12 - 01:19:20:14]
It's incredible film. Such incredible film. I'm going we're going to end this and I'm going to go find it immediately. That is so cool. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:19:25:08 - 01:19:30:02]
And then they have a Black Friday and any copy that they had are gone kind of thing.
[01:19:36:13 - 01:19:38:07]
Oh, I'll have to check. Yeah.
[01:19:40:07 - 01:19:58:06]
Ooh. Ooh. Okay. Well, that is exactly where I'm headed after this because in the mouth of madness, like you said, is incredible. And you just picked out was the book that they made Sutter Cane. Did that come out this year? Yeah.
[01:20:08:17 - 01:20:08:20]
Wow.
[01:20:38:21 - 01:20:39:04]
Yeah.
[01:20:41:01 - 01:20:54:02]
That's okay. No, I'm just doing a callback, you know? Like that's cool. I'm glad to hear your, cause I think last I heard you were not enjoying it and you were, it was kind of a disappointment. And I was like, oh, that's too bad. But no, that's, I'm glad to hear that.
[01:20:59:23 - 01:21:00:02]
Yeah.
[01:21:08:21 - 01:21:14:15]
Nice.
[01:21:14:15 - 01:21:27:07]
Well, my next one is a little bit embarrassing because, well, no. So it's opera, which I'm excited about. And of course this is Severin.
[01:21:28:15 - 01:21:42:06]
Beautiful, beautiful copy. Hey, hey, but I was gonna do that octave. Hey, but I was gonna do that October thing with this and we did not get as far as that. So I still have never seen opera,
[01:21:43:13 - 01:21:55:02]
even though I have this gorgeous, gorgeous 4k copy of it with all this stuff inside. I don't even know what this is. We've got it.
[01:22:01:20 - 01:22:02:21]
Oh, that's why.
[01:22:05:15 - 01:22:25:16]
They might've delayed like sending it because of that. Cause I think I pre-ordered it and they might've just been like, whoopsie daisy, we did a big F up. And yeah, I probably won't even like look too closely at the booklet. Cause I really want to see the movie. I'm gonna hold off, but yeah. So that's my last big one.
[01:22:28:11 - 01:22:28:17]
Yeah.
[01:22:31:18 - 01:22:50:06]
(Silence)
[01:23:02:13 - 01:23:02:22]
What?
[01:23:09:15 - 01:23:32:13]
Wow. (Silence) Oh, wow.
[01:23:35:14 - 01:23:36:10]
Whoa.
[01:23:38:15 - 01:23:39:09]
Sure, I hope.
[01:23:40:11 - 01:23:44:01]
(Silence) Hello.
[01:23:45:23 - 01:23:46:02]
Hopefully.
[01:23:49:10 - 01:23:49:12]
Oh.
[01:23:58:22 - 01:23:59:05]
Oh.
[01:24:02:14 - 01:24:02:19]
Wow.
[01:24:10:11 - 01:24:39:23]
(Silence)
[01:24:50:02 - 01:24:50:07]
Yes.
[01:25:00:11 - 01:25:01:01]
That's incredible.
[01:25:02:22 - 01:25:04:22]
What is the sport that it's based on then?
[01:25:06:12 - 01:25:12:04]
Or like is the sport, what is the sport closest to in normal sports? I think it's the sport that's based on the sport. Yeah. I think it's based on the sport. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. What is the sport closest to in normal sports? What do you say?
[01:25:15:12 - 01:25:22:00]
Oh, okay.
[01:25:31:07 - 01:25:33:17]
Yeah, I was gonna say that doesn't make any sense at all.
[01:25:38:18 - 01:25:45:21]
(Silence) Wow.
[01:25:51:08 - 01:25:51:14]
Wow.
[01:25:56:18 - 01:25:57:01]
Yeah.
[01:26:01:10 - 01:26:01:17]
One.
[01:26:08:18 - 01:26:14:12]
(Silence) Right.
[01:26:25:12 - 01:26:25:22]
Wow.
[01:26:31:16 - 01:26:32:19]
Yeah. Yeah.
[01:26:38:18 - 01:26:48:20]
(Silence)
[01:26:50:15 - 01:26:52:03]
Was that the abyss? I don't know, I just...
[01:26:58:08 - 01:27:02:13]
Oh my gosh.
[01:27:10:04 - 01:27:10:10]
Yeah.
[01:27:13:09 - 01:27:18:08]
Oh, I was gonna say, it sounds familiar and I don't know why. How?
[01:27:20:12 - 01:27:21:05]
Well, um,
[01:27:23:07 - 01:27:25:07]
Well, what's the question?
[01:27:28:01 - 01:27:38:15]
Well, while we're praising Umbrella, I also have grabbed and it's not, I don't think it's from this year necessarily, but um, my husband, I noticed that I didn't even remember him getting it. The Mario Brothers.
[01:27:40:00 - 01:28:06:18]
I mean, this is so much content. I'm like, are you kidding? He keeps threatening to make me watch this movie. And I'm like, I just am never in the mood. I'm sorry. I just don't have it. But it has the scripts. It has the collection of behind the scenes experiences and art. It's got postcards. And here. And of course it's got the movie, but the, you know, really truly Mario Mario Brothers movie. Yeah. Umbrella seems to just have, they just know what's up though.
[01:28:08:08 - 01:28:10:08]
Wow. That's cool.
[01:28:13:07 - 01:28:14:11]
Wow.
[01:28:17:07 - 01:28:17:19]
Yeah.
[01:28:20:10 - 01:28:20:21]
Yeah.
[01:28:24:10 - 01:28:29:09]
Fair enough. Wow. Well, it's been cool seeing like what you've picked up this year.
[01:28:31:02 - 01:28:43:13]
Yeah. Yeah. And I'm sorry that, you know, of course we're both sorry that Kelly is under the weather, but we will be getting back to stuff as usual, hopefully pretty soon.
[01:28:45:01 - 01:28:45:10]
Yeah.
[01:28:46:22 - 01:28:47:10]
Yeah.
[01:28:50:07 - 01:28:51:07]
Yep.
[01:28:56:16 - 01:29:04:00]
I know. Nor do I. Nor do I listen to a previous episode to get our cool hotline number.
[01:29:13:07 - 01:29:14:12]
Yep. Yeah.
[01:29:20:17 - 01:29:34:08]
A hundred percent. I know that that's how, how, how I do it for sure. I don't go on Facebook unless I'm going to go there and that is usually the first thing I look at. And then I quickly retreat.
[01:29:35:16 - 01:29:38:08]
I hear everything's great. I love it. Bye.
[01:29:43:00 - 01:29:43:11]
Yeah. You too.
[01:29:48:14 - 01:29:59:15]
Yeah. Yeah. And until then happy 2026. We hope you've all started it well off and let's hope that there's some really good physical releases this year.
[01:30:01:14 - 01:30:01:21]
Yeah.
[01:30:03:07 - 01:30:04:04]
Bye.
